A first for Polka Dot Sweetheart!

At the weekend I took part in my first ever craft event. Luckily I had some first class peeps to keep me company!

The preparation was a lot more intense than I expected and I proclaimed (more than once and very loudly!) that I would never do another fair. But I feel much more positive now, I think I will try to join in with another local event nearer Christmas time. At the very least I have an idea of what sold so I can avoid the time consuming things that didn't sell.
I was really pleased with my little corner and it all pulled together and co-ordinated in the end, I think.

My little felt flowers and brooches were so much more popular than I expected. I am thrilled!! I think they are so cute!

The cutie patootie.

I have another flower in my folksy account, this one has an interesting history! I really like her, I had to think twice about offering her up, but she needs a new home.

Here she is

Beautiful cream floral fabric flower with a sweet little button centre,
This would be a beautiful accessory for any coat, cardi.

Approx dimensions of flower are 4.5" x 4.5" and it is around 2" front to back.

I have mounted this one onto a brooch pin.

As it is quite large I think it would even look fabulous pinned onto a bag.

I am super excited!! Polka dot Sweetheart has had her first ever customer!! eeek! Excited!

This little pearl and rosette creation has found a new home via Folksy.

I've been playing a little more over here.

A friendly little daisy clip.

I made rosettes for the first time. Oh my are these addictive!! I want to rip strips off of everything to rosette with!!

I have enlisted a new model for a bit, K was very wiggly.

Beebs only yelped a little, and possibly when I scraped her while changing the clippies....

The gun is out again tonight! Instant gratification, I love it!

Back to school

My little little is starting school in two weeks!! She looks completely adorable in her little uniform. Part of the summer uniform is a sweet little red and white gingham dress. So I made a few little hair accessories to match.

Just a little headband, I covered with gingham ribbon and added a simple little bow.

Something a little more "fancy"

I think this one is my favourite.

A little clippy for the hair up days.

I love that she can take a little bit of Mum with her.

These are so adaptable annd could be made in any colour combinations to match any uniforms. Perfect!
